Pease Health Working Group (PHWG)

Mission Statement

The Pease Health Working Group (PHWG) was convened in December 2018 by Col. John Pogorek, commander of the 157th Air Refueling Wing, Pease Air National Guard Base, in response to health-related concerns associated with exposures to contaminated water and potential occupational hazards voiced by retired and active Pease members. The PHWG provides technical assistance to the wing commander as it relates to public health programs, policies and healthcare information. The PHWG members are representatives from Pease Air National Guard Base, NH Department of Health and Human Services, NH Office of Veteran Services, U.S. Air National Guard Bureau, Washington D.C, University of New Hampshire, Veteran's Administration, representatives from the New Hampshire Congressional Delegation, technical experts in drinking water quality, widows and retired service members.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Pease Health Working Group Outreach and Education Sub-Committee is to identify, communicate and share health related information with Pease Air National Guard, Pease Air Force Base Retired and Active members and their families (Pease Community). This subcommittee will educate the Pease community of medical conditions potentially related to their military service and to share strategies related to navigating the Veteran Affair Services.
