I have been contacted by the lead instructor of the Army JROTC notifying us that the Fall Mountain Regional High School is hosting a Veterans' Tribute Day on Thursday, 10 November at Fall Mountain. All area Veterans are welcome to attend with one guest. There will be a free breakfast followed by a patriotic music selection. Please plan on arriving between 8:30 – 9:00 with breakfast from 9:00 – 9:30 followed by high school band playing patriotic music for our listening pleasure. I encourage Veterans to take time out of your busy lives to show your appreciation for those willing to recognize and pay tribute to us by attending this function. For those curmudgeons out there who lament that patriotism in our youth is dead, you may be surprised at just how much Patriotism is alive and well in our schools! Spread the word to other Veterans in need of a shot of nostalgia and bring them along for a cup of Joe and a concert.
