Description:  Camp Resilience, partners with Clear Path for Veterans New England, Hero Pups and Operation Delta Dog to offer a program specially for Servicemembers and their service animals. The program is available for Veterans awaiting service dogs, those interested in learning about service dogs, and new service dog handlers. Workshops focus on: Animal First Aid, Integrating a Service Dog into your Life, and Public Access/Legal Issues. Experienced Veteran dog handlers, and their service dogs will be available to mentor participants. Activities are tailored to introduce / integrate dogs and handlers into daily activities such as hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, etc. To highlight the experience, ‘fireside rap sessions’ offer facilitated peer to peer support and promote community among participants. Retreats include food, lodging and activities, and are free to all participants.
